Automation Rules are mechanisms within the warehouse management system that allow users to automate specific actions based on predefined triggers and conditions. Here's a breakdown of automation rules:
Triggers, Actions, and Conditions:
Automation Rules are composed of three main elements: triggers (events that initiate the automation), actions (tasks to be performed when the trigger occurs), and conditions (criteria that must be met for the actions to take place).
Adding Conditionals:
Users can add conditions to their automation rules to ensure that certain criteria are met before the specified actions are executed. These conditions can be based on various parameters such as order total, order status, or shipping method.
Condition Blocks:
Conditions can be organized into blocks, and it's required that at least one condition within each block must be met for the entire block to be satisfied. This allows for flexibility in setting up complex conditions.
Chaining Multiple Conditions:
Users can chain together multiple conditions within a rule to create highly customized automation sequences. There's no limit to the number of conditions that can be added.
Prioritizing Rules:
Automation rules have a defined order of execution, which can be adjusted by users. Rules higher in the priority list are executed first, with lower priority rules following. This ensures that rules are applied in the desired sequence.
Organization vs. Client Level Rules:
Users can set automation rules at both the organization and client levels. Organization-level rules apply globally across all clients, while client-level rules are specific to individual clients. Certain actions and conditions may be available only at one level or the other.
